CAPABILITIES
Turning:

We offer a variety of CNC turning technologies such as twin turret - twin spindle vertical and horizontal turning centers, multi-axis lathes with barfeeders, Swissturn (Sliding Headstock) 7 Axis turning centers, and standard two axis turning. The twin spindle machines offer tremendous productivity benefits allowing simultaneous turning of both spindles on parts that require two operations. These machines, along with several of our other turning centers utilize tool breakage detection and tool life management which allows unattended operation. These capabilities combined offer high quality, cost effective turning.

Our multi function CNC lathes such as our SwissTurn and Mill/Turn/Sub Spindle Turning Centers offer tremendous flexibility and throughput by combining turning and machining operations into a single process. The swissturns add another level of increased productivity with the addition of 12' Magazine barfeeders which allow unattended operation.

Machining:

Our Vertical and Horizontal Machining Centers provide a variety of machining possibilities. Most of our Vertical Machines use fourth axis rotary tables, through the spindle coolant, high HP/high rpm spindles, probing systems as well as pallet changers. These options provide extremely efficient machining operations on a wide variety of materials and part configurations.

Our Horizontal Machining Centers are all equipped with high HP/high rpm spindles, extremely fast rapid traverse rates to 2000 ipm, 1000 psi through the spindle coolant, pallet changers, probing systems, tool breakage detections systems and tool life management. These machines excel in cutting aluminum and are well suited for other iron and steel applications.

Multiple Operations/Assembly:

Many of the components we manufacture require multiple operations. These include parts that are turned, machined, broached, balanced, powder coated, e-coated, black oxide, zinc, heat treated and other auxiliary operations. We also provide a variety of assembly operations from basic processes such as pressing bushings, pins, to complicated assemblies such as Sub-Machine Guns, AK-47's, and Conceal Carry Subcompact Pistols.

Vertically Integrated Supplier:

At Engineering & Cycle, we offer the capability of providing single source responsibility. By single source, we mean that we deliver a completed product. This operation helps to streamline our customers purchasing needs. Rather than dealing with a variety of different suppliers with different capabilities, why not let Engineering & Cycle manage your supply chain and deliver the finished product to your door. To accomplish this:

    • We develop casting and forging suppliers
    • Purchase castings and forgings
    • Purchase components used in assembly
    • Provide various testing requirements
    • Provide various metal treatment and coating conversions
    • Perform a variety of different assembly operations
    • Develop Shipping methods to ensure the quality of the delivered component
    • Perform Deliveries in our own trucks.

Quality Control:

As part of our TS16949 Quality System, we utilize process control at every step of the manufacturing process. SPC is utilized for all special characteristics. We also utilize a variety of air gaging, electronic & digital bore gages, probing systems, attribute gages and traditional measurement tools to ensure the component is manufactured to the required specifications.

We also utilize CMM technology for a variety of inspection applications. Our 5 DCC/CNC Coordinate Measuring Machines are constantly utilized for specific part dimension inspections as well as GD&T requirements for True Position, Runout, Straightness, Profile, Perpendicularity, Concentricity and others.
